I could also use some old-skool horror aficionados too. If you can write 250-1000 words on a text adventure, other vintage computer game, or board game, I'd be glad to hear from you.

If the site does well enough I will be able to offer residual income too. Please write like you made it through high school. I can edit small typos but I can't fill in gaps in your articles if they need more information.

Staff members get access to promotional items, review materials, exclusive event attendance and more. Two successful iPhone designer/developers seek an entrepreneurial Vegas expert to author an iPhone guide to the city's attractions. We currently have several of the highest ranking guides to San Francisco on Apple's iTunes store (search for "San Francisco" on the App Store and look for our Exploration Guide or "Napa" and look for our Napa Valley Tour guide to see) and we're hoping to continue our success in Vegas.

We will handle all the software and publishing work, and you provide an enlightening description of your pick of Las Vegas's best spots. What spots you ask? Well, this is largely up to you. We're looking for someone with the self-direction to pitch some ideas on topics that you know well and you think would be useful to either visitors or residents (or both) wanting to connect with the city. This can be as straightforward as "Vegas Casinos" or a more eclectic mix, like our San Francisco Exploration Guide (which includes museums, bars, clubs, parks, hikes, beaches whatever we thought made San Francisco amazing). Possible guides that we are interested in include a gambling guide, a club guide, an outdoor sculpture guide, a gay guide, a local's insider guide you get the idea.

Good candidates will have in depth knowledge of the city, a concise and entertaining writing style, some aesthetic sensibility and (possibly) good photography skills. Additionally, you should either own or have access to an iPhone or iPod touch, so you can see your work in context as you develop the guide.

If you're interested, please tell us a bit about yourself (including your prior writing experience) and send us a brief (roughly 100 words or less) and entertaining description for one or two of your favorite places (which we won't use unless we end up working together). Las Vegas Food and Bar guide is looking for writers to contribute short, opinionated listings of their favorite places to eat and drink. Book will be released in all major bookstores this winter. Deadline is coming up, so there isn't a huge time frame to check out new restaurants and bars. Thus, we are looking for people who can write about locations that they are already familiar with.

This is a contract position, and there is pay. There are multiple positions available. Additionally, writers will receive credit and bio in the book, and a copy of the publication once it is released. The publisher often selects staff editors from the pool of writers, so there are opportunities for growth within the company, as well.

I'd like to write a book that is a bit of a motivational one for moms. I was an executive before starting my family, then I tried to stay home with the kids but I was missing something. The mommy guilt set in whether I was at work full time or with the kids full time. I needed to be a "hybrid mom" so I started a global company and it's in the early stages. Moms definitely have the toughest jobs - no matter which way you slice it. I'd like to think this book would be beneficial for SAHM, working, and hybrid moms.

It would be coming at it from a woman's perspective because we all seem to know that motherhood changes you, but the process of figuring out how we get through many of the hurdles can be quite confusing for some and downright depressing for others.

If you are a mom yourself who just happens to have a way with words, I'd love to share more thoughts with you.
